Putting a Smile on your Face!
There's no better feeling than being able to brighten someone's day. Tulane's community service program has given me a platform and opportunity to do that on a weekly basis. This week I had the opportunity to write to three seniors Evelyn, Dorothy, and Delma - who are currently living in a senior home in Los Gatos, California. Due to Covid-19, many of the elderly have been fortunately protected from getting the virus by avoiding outside contact; however, with that protection it has also caused isolation. In these unfortunate times, I wanted to be able to put a smile on their face and let them know they are not alone. I understand that not being able to see love ones can be hard. I have personally experienced that because I have not been able to spend time with my grandmother. Learning about Evelyn, Dorothy, and Delma I realized that we share many things in common such as our love for flowers and animals. I can't wait to hear back from them as well as continu
